Senior Engineering Manager, Mid Market

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team, where you’ll have the opportunity to influence key projects and help shape the future of our Unity Ads user acquisition. You are joining a fast growing engineering and data science group who is building a global ad network serving 2.5 billion devices globally.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and mentor a small collection of hard-working engineering teams, as well as working deeply with individuals to help them achieve their potential.
• Work collaboratively across teams to deeply understand the needs of our users and clients, and then contribute to the plan, design, and build of features and services that best serve those needs, using lean and agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with the broader Unity technology leadership community to provide input into strategies and standards, ensure solution reuse, and eliminate solution redundancy
• Continuously improve your people management, engineering knowledge, leadership and collaboration skills, utilising all the Learning and Development courses and support we provide.

Requirements

• Experience building, retaining, and managing performant, diverse and inclusive teams, and growing, mentoring and coaching software engineers.
• Hands-on experience developing and operating large scale distributed systems with a focus on shipping quality products and services.
• Comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy and accountability.
• Previous job experience as a software engineering / data science manager or development lead managing multiple small to medium sized teams
• Experience line managing managers, in addition to individual contributors

• Working in a global environment with distributed teams.
• Experience in building machine learning products.
