Job Description
As a Senior Engineer your main responsibility will be to interact with a multitude of systems to deliver on the goals of our most ambitious project: codenamed Project F4E - a Hardcore Fantasy Extraction ARPG game. You will work in a small close-knit team (the Systems Pod) of 5-6 highly experienced engineers, you being one of them.
Ideally you are highly driven, self-motivated and not afraid to express your opinions or come with suggestions for improvements. You must be ready to take responsibility and identify areas that could benefit from your talents. We want you to make your mark on our world and our team, and join a collaborative effort to raise the quality of the entire experience we deliver to our players.
Responsibilities
- Build robust game systems that other developers will expand upon or use to generate content.
- Expand on and optimize the client foundation built using the ECS pattern.
- Integrate with multiple platforms e.g. PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
- Contribute to the development and discussions surrounding overall system architecture of both client, cloud and infrastructure.
Requirements
- 6+ years industry experience.
- Strong established skill with the C# language including experience using unsafe code.
- Excellent software design, problem solving and debugging skills.
- 2+ years of experience developing in Unity3D.
- Knowledge of the ECS architectural pattern.
- Experience with all development cycles of GaaS games.
- Experience developing for PC / Steam.
- Experience developing for the most recent gen consoles.
Pluses
- Experience with the MVVM pattern.
- Experience with cloud for games, preferably microservices.
- Passion and drive to improve all facets of the game and unlock potential within the team.
- Able to communicate & collaborate effectively with artists, designers, and other engineers.
- Experience with networking for high pace games.
- Experience using generative AI.
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
