THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Senior Engine Engineer who is experienced in unreal engine. Being able to support multiple studios in development.
The role for Senior Engine Engineer is for an experienced individual contributor that designs and develops software for our unreal based game engine. It requires the effective application of very solid engineering principles to contribute to a long-term investment in a cross-platform engine for multiple game teams. This role either anticipates or identifies current and future needs, then develops sound and often proven solutions with limited direction. A Senior Engine Engineer when pointed at a complex (feature, problem, or project), is expected to solve it in a resourceful and effective way.
WHO ARE YOU:
- Extremely knowledgeable about Unreal Engine.
- Experience at shipping games and aware of unique challenges at all stages of development.
- Abreast of cutting edge of technology and game development methodologies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Independently design, develop, test, and maintain high quality customizations for our shared version of the unreal engine.
- Write and implements clear, maintainable, portable code in C++, c#, python and blueprint.
- Contribute to discussions on a project’s technical limitations, scope, and scheduling.
- Help teams understand the engine / technology available to them and how to make the best use of it in their specific games.
- Work with other central tech groups integrate needed workflows into unreal to build out effective pipelines.
- At times be an embedded resource working closely with the game teams to surface needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent work experience.
- Shipped multiple game titles.
- Shipped 1 game on Unreal Engine
- Shipped 1 cross platform game on multiple consoles.
- Strong understanding of the maths and linear algebra.
- Experience integrating middleware products such as (Wwise, Multiplay, Backtrace, NSight).
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Worked on and shipped online games.

Compensation:
- This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
- The full salary range for this position is $147,800 - $221,700 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.
- In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
