Senior ETL Developer, Business Intelligence Services (BIS)

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior ETL Developer, Business Intelligence Services (BIS) in San Mateo, CA to independently address software project requirements, including articulation of challenge areas to address project delivery risk. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience designing and developing complex and large data volume processing module applications. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting full waterfall/agile software development lifecycle; working with multiple cross functional teams to understand and gather requirements; performing technical assessments and impact analyses for new requirements; evaluating possible design approaches, and proposing scalable and self-correctable technical design recommendations for new application builds; creating technical ETL design, data model, interface and data mappings documents; troubleshooting user guide documentation for ETL applications; conducting performance tuning of long running and high data volume ETL jobs; validating and unit testing software application logic; identifying root causes for data quality issues and production failures; and in executing duties, utilizing Ab Initio Suite, ETL/DW concepts, UNIX, shell scripting, Dimensional Modeling, Jira, MicroStrategy, Teradata, Oracle and SQL.
