The Senior ERP Systems Analyst is a hands on technical role that will be responsible for supporting Exploding Kittens new ERP system including its connections with third party systems and ensuring data accuracy for our rapidly growing global business.
This role requires a deep understanding of Brightpearl (or similar) ERPs for retail customers including integrations with Quickbooks, SPS, Brightpearl connector, Snowflake and Tableau.
The Systems Analyst will leverage their retail operational knowledge (e.g. order management, pricing and discounting, inventory, allocation, warehouse management, accounting) to support business users and maintain and evolve our technical solutions. The Systems Analyst will apply best practices of data governance to sustain the quality and accuracy of Exploding Kittens’ master data. With an emphasis increasing business productivity, the Systems Analyst will work closely with key business partners including Sales, Logistics, Product Development, Finance, and 3PL Warehouse teams to support and optimize existing processes and support new requests.
This role will require hands-on technical activities including system configuration, scripting, and troubleshooting across internal and external systems. As our business grows, the role will be responsible for hiring and directing the work of more junior team members including mentoring and coaching to lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Manage Brightpearl ERP and SPS including new development/configuration and production issues
- Manage the translation of business requirements into solutions in collaboration with both internal and external team members
- Design and document system workflows that align with financial transaction, supply chain and sales processes
- Support and train multiple employees across different departments to ensure they understand and are fully leveraging the system (e.g. Sales, Supply Chain/ Logistics, Finance, Marketing & Product Development)
- Act as primary contact for third-party vendors and guide internal team in the application of data governance best practices to ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of business-critical master data
- Collaborate cross-functionally to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Proactively identify problems and opportunities and perform root cause analysis/diagnosis leading to significant business impact
WHAT WE NEED:
- 5+ years of industry experience in ERP configuration/development, data engineering, business intelligence with a track record of improving business productivity through delivery of technical solutions - industry and/or consulting experience
- Experience across Sales and Supply Chain projects(Order Management, Pricing, Sales Management, Reporting, etc...) across Wholesale and eCommerce channels for retailer
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related technical field
- You should be detail-oriented and must have an aptitude for solving unstructured problems
- You should work in a self-directed environment, own tasks and drive them to completion
- You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development life cycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Strong supervisory, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to set and meet goals, assess risks and needs, develop schedules, and monitor/communicate status
- Reasonable tolerance for ambiguity and shifting priorities
