Senior EMEA Brand Marketing Manager

Gearbox Publishing Amsterdam is looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Brand Marketing Manager to join its team and lead the EMEA focused marketing strategies for its upcoming portfolio. The ideal candidate is a gamer who has years of experience defining marketing strategies and developing omni-channel marketing programs that effectively builds brand awareness and drives both short and long-term business goals.
The ideal candidate has experience both on a territory as well as an EMEA level and understands the nuances and challenges when translating global brand plans into Pan-European plans. This person will be the driving force behind the conception and execution of all our EMEA focused marketing plans. He/She/They manages a (junior) marketer and will be heading the expanding marketing team as it grows in par with our growing portfolio. The candidate combines gaming industry knowledge with the latest trends to drive creative and innovative ideas across all marketing channels, such as social media, PR, UA, digital media, CRM, and partner and influencer marketing. As the senior lead, the role will also be responsible for monitoring campaign performance across all channels and providing a strong point of view on how best to scale our programs, to bring in gamers and grow our business. He/She/They also understands the importance of analytics and can determine how to use metrics to optimize campaigns and demonstrate ROI.
Brand management is the core of Gearbox Publishing’s integrated marketing programs. Strong interpersonal skills are required as the role will closely work with stakeholders across Communications, data, platform engineering, product management and our game developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES & JOB DUTIES
- Be the driving force behind our growing EMEA marketing organization.
- Develop and execute the complete 360-degree EMEA go-to-market plan based on the market landscape, strategic positioning, and competitive analysis.
- Determine KPIs for all campaign beats, analyze performance and determine actionable next steps to optimize performance to meet or exceed campaign goals.
- Continuously improve/promote multi-channel offerings and optimize ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders at the Amsterdam office as well as counterparts in Frisco, Texas and San Francisco. This includes Comms, Operations, Development, creative and finance.
- Manage a (junior) marketer and develop a vision on expanding your team as the portfolio grows.
- Budget responsibility for all our marketing campaigns.
- Play milestone builds of games in development and provide analysis and long-term strategic thinking to the product management team, through the lens of marketing opportunities.
- Manage asset requests and communications goals, working closely with your team to ensure all key stakeholders are involved in the approvals process.
- Be fearless and motivate the cross-functional marketing groups to buy into the EMEA vision to develop and execute effective marketing activations.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of video game marketing experience, preferably both at a territory as well as a Pan- European level.
- Demonstrable experience in building product messaging, positioning, and marketing plans.
- Proven track record of successful game launch experience.
- Experience developing post-launch, live marketing plans a plus.
- Experience working with key stakeholders in different fields, positions and locations and cultivating strong working relationships.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including cross-functional management experience.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through major marketing releases.
- The ability to do both strategic planning and daily execution/optimization.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to sell one’s ideas and negotiate.
- Highly proficient in written and spoken English. Command of a second language is a plus.
- Passion for PC and console games a huge plus.

LOCATION AND WORKING HOURS
- The Senior EMEA Brand Marketing Manager is a full-time position (40 hours per week) onsite in our Amsterdam office.
