Who We Are:
2K develops and publishes interactive entertainment globally for console systems, handheld gaming devices and personal computers, including smartphones and tablets. 2K is a leading publisher of today’s most popular gaming genres and most well-known for critically acclaimed game franchises like NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, Evolve, XCOM and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization.
What We Need:
The Senior Director, Workplace will lead 2K’s Facilities and Real Estate teams and portfolio to deliver first in class service across the portfolio. The candidate will have the ability to work across functions, partnering with HR, IT, Finance, Operations, etc. while working with studio heads and 2K’s leadership team.
What You Will Do:
- Assess current work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Establish new processes as needed.
- Manage staff: hire, train, and evaluate performance of Workplace support services; lead and motivate staff to achieve high levels of productivity and service while containing expenses.
- Develop, manage, and forecast department and studio operating and capital budgets.
- Liaise with the company leadership team to evaluate Workplace needs (facilities, shipping/receiving, real estate) across a growing portfolio; develop policies and processes to deliver first in class services.
- Create and manage transparent reporting methods to the leadership team, studio heads and finance for project status, budget reporting, etc.
- Act as company spokesperson to building management, address concerns, manage relationships, and ensure problems are resolved.
- Lead, implement, and manage construction, renovation, and repair projects; conduct facilities/space needs analyses, consult with internal project management/vendors/architects to plan project timelines, write communications to managers and staff to prepare them for office moves, and manage related budgets.
- Select, negotiate contracts for and/or purchase office furniture, decorations supplies, shipping, and select company perquisites; periodically evaluate the quality and timeliness of products and services purchased and recommend or make changes as appropriate.
- Manage special building, space, or office administration projects as needed.
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
- Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years facilities/building, space, and office administration experience
- Additional 5+ years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to cultivate positive relationships with executive management and vendors.
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated, results-oriented self-starter.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work flexibly in order to meet changing business needs.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets.
- Strong PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
