We're looking for an experienced and senior strategic communications professional to join us as the Global Head of Employee Communications, who can lead agenda-setting integrated communications to guide our global purpose and employee engagement programs.
Develop and manage our employee communications. You have a thoughtful understanding of compensation / benefits and talent attraction trends / best practices, and subject matter expertise in DEI, Social Impact and ESG. You will develop the strategies for purpose and employee communications. You will accomplish each by delivering clear, ongoing narratives for these areas of work that are connected to our overall narrative and supported by proof points of work guided by relevant teams.
You should excel at global, cross functional collaboration, ensuring consistency and connectivity across EA. You will also be an important partner, communications strategist and operator for business leaders in purpose-related functions, including DEI, Social Impact and driving communications for our ESG-focused work, including the launch of the annual Impact Report.
Additionally, you will partner with our People Experience and Positive Play teams, managing our communications around sensitive employee-focused topics and the work that supports the wellbeing of our players. You will do this in collaboration with the Corporate Communications team and other business leaders.
Finally, with their focus on purpose-driven work, this leader would also oversee the management and application of the Social Issues Framework in partnership with leaders from DEI, Legal, Social Impact and Employee Relations.
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Corporate Communications , the Senior Director, Purpose & Employee Communications is passionate about people and purpose, not afraid to challenge the status quo, happy to work at multiple altitudes, and successful in balancing long-term strategic vision with daily tactical execution.
Responsibilities will include:
- Create integrated communications strategies and lead global purpose and employee programs.
- Develop and evolve our story concerning important areas of purpose investments.
- Be an important partner, communications strategist and operator for business leaders, including the People Team, Positive Play, DEI, compensation & benefits and Social Impact.
- Support leadership and employee communications for purpose-related functions.
- Develop clear, ongoing narratives for purpose-focused areas of work, amplifying our overall company narrative and supported by proof points of the work motivated by relevant teams.
- Improve communications for our ESG-focused work, including launch of the annual Impact Report.
- Partner with the lead of People Experience and Positive Play, managing our communications around sensitive employee-focused topics in partnership with the Corporate Communications team and other business leaders.
- Manage and apply the Social Issues framework in partnership with leaders from DEI, Legal, SI and Employee Relations.
- Lead spokesperson and leadership coaching on important topics.
- Narrative and message development, materials creation, media and content strategy.
- Ensure the values of the EA brand are represented and felt through all our communications.
- Understand the landscape of important partner audiences in digital spaces and develop a clear view on how to address their needs and engage them
Experience:
- Public Relations, English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 12+ years of experience at the intersection of employee communications and purpose programs.
- Skills in narrative and message development with experience in purpose, issues management, leadership communications, employee communications and corporate reputation.
- A strategic thinker with relationship and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting corporate DEI programs and working with senior business leaders in a global company.
- Understanding of the evolving digital communications landscape.
- Inspired, self-starting team player who can take the initiative in a fast-paced and fluid environment while simultaneously managing multiple projects across time zones.
- Process-minded planner who can determine deadlines, logistics and operational plans for multi-dimensional programs and events across the region.
- Demonstrated strength in managing, and motivating agency networks.
- Experience in a gaming organization and personal interest in video games is desirable.
