Senior Director, Product Strategy

Magic Leap is looking for an experienced Director, Strategy & Planning with a focus on translating vision into core experience/use cases. You can expect to lead collaborations with design, engineering teams to drive products from concept to launch.

Responsibilities:

• Translation of vision and north stars into core experiences/use cases
• Incorporate the third party and commissioned research.
• Drive validation process through testing and prototyping
• Develop and maintain product generational roadmap
• Alignment of enabler roadmaps (owned by engineering team)
• Develop and maintain experiences and core apps roadmap
• Produce PRD
• Ensure alignment on the scope, dependencies, and deliverables and set the team up for success
• Strategically facilitate collaboration between domain experts ensuring the quality of experience and negotiate trade-offs between scope, schedule, and quality
• Identify and resolve blockers and challenges, and drive paths to resolution.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the production team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a Product Planning, or Product Management role.
• Thorough understanding of modern product management and product development practices.
• Experience in building business cases and product roadmaps across a wide variety of industries.
• Experience working on highly technical and algorithmically complex products strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams: can adjust communication style to technical, creative, and artistic staff.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral
• Experience with JIRA, Favro or similar tools

Education

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
