Senior Director, Interaction Design and Prototyping

Job Description: You are a thoughtful manager, systems-level design thinker, and compassionate with strong instincts and outstanding intuition informed by user needs and insights. You'll be responsible for guiding the careers of your team members, working closely with each of them to help them realize their full potential in user experience and interaction design. You will create and clarify design strategy working closely with the Chief Experience Officer , conceptualize UX ecosystems in ways that mitigate complexity, and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You will manage a team of highly skilled designers and responsible for their growth, work and overall development. Responsibilities Include:- Develop processes for delivering Shipped product to the highest caliber of Design
- Define and execute platform user interaction and orchestrate teams to deliver to their highest potential in line with company values
- Partner with Product, Software & Hardware Engineers to develop processes and execution that ensures a healthy demonstration of UX Design building best in class features
- Manage a team of Directors, prototype developers, and interaction designers
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in User Experience or Interaction Design
- Experience managing teams and growing them
- Highly collaborative and is able to influence and work across cross-functional teams.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and ability to communicate complex technical concepts in meaningful/actionable ways.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Demonstrate a passion for relating to technical audiences and making sophisticated concepts simple to understand for users.
- Experience in designing for platforms or operating systems
- Proven track record of hands-on expertise with XR technologies and demonstrated knowledge of AR/VR/MR/XR.
- Demonstrate understanding of enterprise hardware-based solution implementation and scale process.
- Experience working on a product from inception to shipment.
- Experience balancing product, development, and user-centered goals to help shape overall product strategy.
- Show success in having tackled ambiguous problems and broken them down into well-scoped solutions.
- Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work, successfully multi-tasking a variety of critical priorities.
- Passionate for growing and managing teams, exuding and setting the highest caliber of user experience with the courage to pursue forward-thinking design
