What We Need
2K has been a powerful console and PC game publisher for several console generations and is known for bringing fantastic IP to the market. As our games get bigger and more complex, we are growing our analytics group. As a result, we are looking for a skilled and experienced analytics expert to lead the growth and marketing analytics teams, reporting to the VP of Data and Analytics. Heading up a critical pillar in the analytics department, s/he will directly partner with our growth, marketing, and sales teams to generate critical insights and employ strategies that drive the development of our games.
This role will be leading a large team of data scientists and business analysts who will be responsible for delivering analyses and/or predictive/prescriptive models to be utilized in marketing, sales, and strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate must have a holistic view of paid and unpaid marketing tactics that extrapolate actionable learnings and have experience with various pricing strategies and forecasting. Being a solution-oriented, creative problem solver and self-starter with passion and enthusiasm to drive the results for meaningful changes will be critical for this role.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with marketing teams to collect, organize, and analyze all historical data related to the offline and online marketing campaigns
- Analyze game and player data to establish customer segmentation models for each product to help prioritize and customize game features and content
- Use predictive modeling to establish behavior patterns that assist with player lifecycle management, such as propensity to buy, spend, and churn.
- Collaborate with the other members of the analytics team to bring the gameplay and marketing data together and build predictive models for customer segmentation and campaign optimization
- Work with growth and marketing teams to help determine what data needs to be captured to serve their needs and determine the best methodology for meeting those needs
- Identify optimization opportunities across marketing channels and work closely with marketing managers and agency partners to implement these opportunities
- Develop statistical models to understand the relationship between different campaign factors/attributes and sales and support marketing teams with planning campaigns and setting the media mix
- Work with MarTech group and team Database Engineers to identify and manage data requirements to support high-quality analysis
- Work with the finance and sales teams to create and implement a rigorous methodology to forecast digital and physical sales
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
- 8+ years of experience in data mining & analytics with extensive, complex, and multi-dimensional data sets
- 6+ years of experience in managing data scientists and analysts
- Experience working with paid and unpaid marketing channels, multi-channel attribution, and media mix models
- Experience with econometric modeling, time-series forecasting, and price elasticity models
- In-depth experience with advanced database mining tools, such as Tableau, R and with extensive SQL skills
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of working across all levels of the organization – having the information is one thing, you must be able to disseminate and educate
Bonus Points
- A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences – Master’s Degree a plus
- Video games industry experience is preferred
