Senior Director Brand Marketing – EA SPORTS Tiburon
As the Senior Director of Brand Marketing at EA SPORTS Tiburon, you will report to the Brand Marketing VP, leading a diverse team of marketers responsible for charting long-term product development plans for the EA SPORTS Tiburon portfolio and the creation of multi-channel, consumer-facing marketing campaigns for games like Madden NFL.
Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Develop player-first business and brand strategies, which inform long-term product roadmaps and marketing approach
- Develop Brand milestone deliverables (long range product roadmap, brand experience guide, business brief, player needs analysis)
- Set targets and optimize to ensure franchise business goals are met
- Build annual product experiences, based on consumer insights, that keep players engaged all year long
- Establish data-informed goals that are used, in partnership with other teams (commercial, marketing communications and analytics), to hit important player and performance targets
- Work with analytics to report results and to identify opportunities to improve the player experience
- Oversee franchise marketing strategies and approve the franchise campaigns, setting the parameters for success
- Apply player, market and product insights, along with business strategies to determine marketing activation approach, tactics and measurements
- Lead the team to create compelling marketing activations - integrated across channels - that create awareness, interest, consideration and inspires play across devices
- Oversee management of annual franchise marketing budget, optimizing investments throughout the year according to campaign and channel performance
- Study EA SPORTS products and competitors within the category to strategically plan for growth
- Manage licensor relationships
Requirements
- 10+ years in brand/marketing role
- Experience building teams that achieve results
- Experience creating brand architecture for varied products within a portfolio
- Experience partnering with a product development team to make insight-informed decisions that satisfy prioritized consumer motivations
- Excel at working in a matrixed team environment characterized by interdependency
- Galvanize and influence teams and partners across departments, at all levels
- Experience engaging with executive teams
- Create successful marketing campaign outcomes based on business goals and strategies
- Understanding of evolving consumer engagement and channel opportunities
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets
- Passion for and knowledge of sports, including American football and the NFL
- Experience in videogames or similar sports/entertainment environments
