We are looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our team on a dark, story-driven horror blockbuster with genre defining goals.

This huge, highly ambitious partnership project takes atmosphere, storytelling, player agency and narrative firmly into ground-breaking territory on next-generation hardware technologies.

This project has AAA ambitions with a heavy focus on art, animation and delivering unique character performances to heighten player presence and immersion to new levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain project schedules for both short and long-term project goals
  • Assisting Game Director and Production Team with project direction, scope and milestone planning and risk assessment
  • Taking part in backlog creation and refinement, Sprint and Milestone planning
  • Running daily stand ups
  • Reporting progress to the team, studio management, and external partners
  • Work with the Production team to ensure quality targets are maintained alongside timescales and budget
  • Develop excellent relationships with Publishers and other external partners
  • Developing a positive and energetic team culture
  • Facilitating the development of the game, identifying and removing obstacles from the teams’ path
  • Be solutions-driven, reliable and honest
  • Manage risks, issues, and change requests and proactively solve problems before they impact the schedule
  • Collaborate with the Outsourcing Manager to plan feasible scope
  • Anticipate resource needs, both short-term and long-term, and able to work with changing design requirements

Requirements:

  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of project management practices (Agile, Prince2 etc).
  • Working knowledge of industry standard packages (MS Office, Jira, Perforce etc).
  • An appreciation of change management
  • Friendly and approachable personality
  • Energetic and positive attitude
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial
  • Must be able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Previous games industry experience in a similar role

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Confluence for documentation
  • Experience of Shotgun useful but not essential
  • An understanding of PlayStation Content and release pipelines and back-end systems
