You will be joining the Technology Group that is responsible for a cutting-edge technology for our gaming platforms, Game Development Kits, Tools and Analytics Engine that are used in Casinos around the world.
The DevOps Engineer will assist design, implement, and support solutions within the Aristocrat Land based R&D team. You will be working alongside the development team to support the software development process as well as advising and providing guidance to engineers in best practices around DevOps. You will be focused on the automation of manual tasks related to building and deploying code and data to enable CD/CI pipelines and software deployment across the enterprise. You will be a good problem solver, who has a passion to learn and to educate and to mentor DevOps practices.What you'll do
- Instil a DevOps culture of enabling greater flow between development teams and operations, you will be expected to provide feedback, continuous learning opportunities, knowledge sharing and process improvement across DevOps functions and personnel.
- Creation of software deployment strategies that allow DevOps engineers to respond to diverse development team requests and requirements successfully and quickly
- Collaborate with IT, Network teams and security functions to incorporate technology stack best practices into configuration management, automation, solution design and implementation
- Drive the DevOps capability with the management, design and development of continuous integration and deployment solutions for production applications
- Working quickly and accurately to achieve targets in an agile work environment
- Practice Agile methodologies, and participate in Agile meetings
- Provide technical mentorship of DevOps infrastructure practices and assist development teams in troubleshooting
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- The candidate for this position must have had at least 3 years of working experience in a DevOps capacity, preferably as a DevOps Engineer.
- Highly Skilled with scripting and automation with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar language / framework.
- Highly skilled with code and package repositories such as SVN, GIT, Perforce and Artifactory
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux infrastructure
- Familiarity with networking and protocols
- Be comfortable or have detailed understanding of dealing with code written in C#, .Net Framework and C++
- Demonstrated experience in at least one toolset or viable alternatives within the below DevOps capabilities
- Automated provisioning and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet or Chef)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub, Bamboo, Azure DevOps, Gitlab)
- Methodologies (TDD, BDD, Agile, Lean or DevOps) highly desired
- Experience with Infrastructure as code
- Experience in using resources in at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Excellent communication skills
