Overview:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in advancing our data science capabilities and influencing strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that improve our products and drive business growth.
Responsibility and Duties:
Data Analysis and Exploration:
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business strategy.
- Utilize statistical techniques and data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively.
Machine Learning Model Development:
- Develop and implement advanced machine learning models for predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and other applications.
- Evaluate and optimize model performance to ensure accuracy and scalability.
Data Preprocessing and Cleaning:
- Clean, preprocess, and transform data as needed to ensure data quality and usability for analysis and modeling.
Feature Engineering:
- Identify relevant features and variables for model training and feature selection.
Collaboration and Cross-functional Support:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and analysts, to integrate data-driven insights into product development and business strategies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members interested in pursuing a career in data science.
Data Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in data handling and storage.
Model Deployment and Monitoring:
- Assist in deploying machine learning models into production and monitor their performance over time.
Experience / Skills:
- A demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in data science and machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R.
- Extensive expertise in machine learning algorithms and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- SQL expertise for data extraction and analysis.
- Strong skills in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data cleaning.
- Communication and collaboration skills.
- The capacity to work independently and lead data science initiatives.
- Proficiency in the English language for effective communication and documentation.
Good To Have:
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning.
- Previous exposure to A/B testing and experimentation.
- Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Tableau).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Education :
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
