We're building a ground-breaking online sci-fi shooter, and we want you to join us!
We are CCP London, seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to build advanced statistical models for segmentation and behavioural analysis of our in-game data to help us push sci-fi tactical shooters into uncharted territories.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with large datasets using advanced data mining skills for extracting information for both product development as well as from business value perspective. The candidate is also required to have experience with exploratory data analysis and predictive modeling. We are looking for a strong team player who can work closely with people from various disciplines and has an endless curiosity towards finding answers which improve the performance of the game and CCP as an organization.
This role will be based in London, reporting to the Director of Data & Analytics in Reykjavik
Your responsibilities:
- Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork covering anything from feature development to marketing campaigns
- Exploring large datasets to seek behavioral trends
- Architect and build predictive models
- Build and improve our current segmentation models
- Report findings to developers, designers and other corporate units
Your profile:
- 3+ years of work experience in an analytical role, demonstrating expertise with data to drive process improvements
- A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences
- Curiosity and drive for finding creative solutions to ensure the company is a data driven learning organization
- Strong SQL skills and experience with big data stores
- Advanced knowledge of and experience in building data visualizations for exploratory analysis and automated reporting
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to communicate results to a non-technical audience
- Ability to write efficient Python or R code to answer data analysis questions with a high degree of confidence
- High level of autonomy – a self-motivated and resourceful problem solver with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Demonstrable passion for gaming.
- Team player – highly proficient at collaborating with multiple cross-functional groups, including business & technical teams
