Discord is looking for experienced and passionate data scientists to join our new and rapidly growing Marketing Data Science team! As a member of the Marketing Data Science team, you will help Discord achieve its mission of providing people with a sense of belonging in online communities, by collaborating directly with the teams who design, build, and support Discord. At Discord, Marketing Data Science team is a newly established and rapidly growing team. Lots of exciting opportunities from the ground up! We have a broad scope and collaborate with various stakeholders - product marketing (revenue, growth, creator), growth marketing, brand marketing, community, partnership, business development, etc. We provide data-driven marketing insights to: (1) grow new users, engage and retain existing users, (2) promote monetization features such as Nitro, (3) enable creators, admins, and moderators to successfully build, run and even monetize communities.

The Marketing Data Scientist is expected to use data analytics to understand user profiles and server performances, create reports to track core KPIs, identify business opportunities, and impact the strategy of Marketing and Product team. The ideal candidate should be a thought partner on business, and is passionate about breaking down vague problems, building robust analytical solutions, delivering data-driven insights, generating actionable recommendations, and working in a fast-paced environment at hyper-growth stage.
