Senior Data Analyst – Market Intelligence, Corporate Strategy
The Corporate Strategy team works closely with EA’s executive leadership team in shaping strategies to drive growth and innovation across the company as well as stay ahead of tech and games industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, evaluate, and monitor key metrics for market and product trends; leverage quantitative and qualitative analyses to understand and communicate the root causes of changes in metrics
- Deliver deep-dive analyses on special topics and communicate the insights and recommendations to drive high-level conversations on strategy
- Signal market turning points and emerging trends in a timely fashion to help EA capture new opportunities and prepare for challenges
- Forecast the market size by revenue, region, and platform to guide strategic and operational decisions
- Stay on top of all key competitors and related sources of competitive intelligence and data by conducting primary and secondary research on various competitive topics
- Provide ongoing insights into trends and dynamics within the game industry as well as adjacent industries such as social media, video streaming, and technologies
- Develop and maintain scripts and queries to collect, clean, and transform data from different sources
- Build live dashboards and reports to provide real-time reading of the market and product performances
- Explore new data sources and assess their quality to enhance the understanding of the competitive landscape
Skills / Requirements:
- 2+ years of work experience in the entertainment, technology, or consulting sectors
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel, SQL, VBA and Python is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
- A self-starter and a team-player
- Enthusiastic about gaming; play a variety of games on daily basis
- Proficiency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software
- Proficiency in business writing and verbal communications; great attention to details
- Knowledge of the games industry preferred
