The Development and Release Engineering (DRE) team are EA's continuous integration and build experts. We're a team of over 100, located in EA studios across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. We pride ourselves on providing superior automation services to our internal customers - EA's game, product, and content teams.
Running DRE's automation services creates a LOT of data! As a Senior Data Analyst on the DRE team, you will tell stories through data to improve the efficiency and quality of EA's game development workflows. Your insights will influence how DRE helps EA game teams make amazing games. You'll report to a Sr. Engineering Manager and become part of the larger data analytics community at EA.
Responsibilities
- Establish best practices for data analytics and cultivate a data-driven culture within DRE.
- Answer questions about the game creation process through hands-on data exploration, statistical analysis and interactive data visualization
- Work with business and technical leaders to address their needs with actionable data insights.
- Use and promote data exploration techniques to discover new or previously unasked questions.
- Use data to expose risks and opportunities in EA's game build process and help DRE build a better service.
- With our data engineering team, ensure DRE's data is clean, consistent and high-quality.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of work experience in a past data analytics role, using data to create process improvements.
- Expert-level skill in one or more of the following: Python, SQL or Scala.
- Amazing with visualization tools like Grafana, Kibana and Power BI.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or completion of post-secondary level Math and Statistics courses.
- Creative thinking and analytical skills.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $106,900 - $158,600
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $94,450 - $158,600
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $94,450 - $158,600
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $94,450 - $133,100
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $94,450 - $159,250
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
