What We Need
As we grow our slate of mobile titles, we need to bring scale, repeatability and reliability to our reporting frameworks. This will enable our analytics team to draw out clear insights and recommendations and our partners to confidently make decisions and monitor game health and marketing efforts based on the vast amounts of data we have at our disposal.
What You Will Do
- Improve our reporting infrastructure in terms of data pipeline and maintenance.
- Bring standard methodology for our pipelines, reports and dashboards. For example: establish high uptime and reliability standards, consistency in metric definitions across different reports and dashboards, ability to ingest data in a scalable manner from different data sources.
- Work with partner teams, including marketing technology, BI, data engineering as well as Studio teams to establish clear data pipeline
- Create robust underlying base tables that can be the bases for different reports and dashboards and be easily expanded
- Design, implement and support the implementation of new dashboards
- Enhance design, performance and functionality for existing Tableau dashboards
- Ensure clear documentations are prepared for various components of our reporting platform, including details behind different dashboards, clear definitions of our data sources and metrics
- Coordinate and liaise with Data Operations, Data Governance and Data Engineering teams throughout the implementation of dashboards, understanding of data sources, data models and optimization of data
- Respond to ad hoc dashboard requests
- Own communications about dashboard delivery as well as triaging and solving.
- Contribute to development, documentation and automation of reporting processes including error & reconciliation handling.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit
- Technical background to include ETL, SQL Database & schema planning, reporting services, design and optimization. (4+ years of experience)
- SQL (any variant) Expert at writing code efficiently and easy to read and follow (4+ years of experience)
- Have technical experience in building reporting summary tables/views and be able to establish standard methodologies around their design and maintenance
- Skill in data pipeline design and optimization experience
- Have 4+ years of experience building complex dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau. Looker or Power BI
- Ability to work with urgency of delivery
- Ability to proactively communicate and follows up with the team as well as different partners
- Experience of Kanban/Agile/Scrum approaches to development
- Self-motivated person who can work independently and on numerous projects at the one time
- Technically not a "skill", but, you are comfortable with working hours 10.30am-7pm enabling greater connection with our US HQ.
Bonus Points
- Experience working in the video game or mobile gaming industry
- Passion for mobile gaming, knowledge of 2k mobile titles such as NBA 2K mobile, WWE supercard
- Experience with Snowflake
- Fluency in understanding database design
- Familiarity with massive data sets and tools to deal with them (E.g. AWS)
- Ideally, Tableau Certified (Associate/Professional)
