The opportunity
Unity is looking for an experienced commercial transactions attorney who has excellent judgement, loves to analyze complex legal issues, find creative solutions, effectively negotiate deals and help develop our commercial team supporting brand direct relationships, to join our China Legal Team. We are looking for someone who is able to collaborate cross-functionally while also balancing competing demands, working independently, maintaining a positive attitude and hopefully, contributing some humor to our legal slack channel.
The Senior Counsel will have the opportunity to develop professionally by working on interesting and challenging matters in a high growth, cutting edge technology company.
What you’ll be doing
- Structure, draft and negotiate a broad range of customer-facing agreements, including software and SaaS, partnerships, professional services, outsourcing, IT infrastructure, marketing and various supplier agreements.
- Advise internal clients regarding legal issues, including identifying, managing, and communicating risks and opportunities in commercial transactions,
- Assist with the development of standard template language to be used in contracts, ancillary documents and associated playbooks.
- Help create and deliver education, information, and training programs for the sales organization on negotiation best practices and relevant legal issues.
What we’re looking for
- A PRC-qualified attorney who enjoys drafting and reviewing contracts.
- Ability to draft legal documents, contracts, policies, and messages in a clear, concise, and digestible manner for business partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to collaborate with team members across the organization.
- Attention to detail, interest in learning new things and new technologies and desire to get things done.
You might also have
- Prior in-house experience working with advertising, enterprise software, Internet or high-tech companies.
