Scopely is looking for a Senior Content Designer to join us remotely from the US or Canada!

Scopely is building an exciting AAA multiplayer action game for consoles, PC, and mobile, using Unreal 5. We believe this stylized fantasy project has the potential to be massive in scale and industry-defining!
What You Will Do
As a Senior Content Designer, you will be part of a skilled development team who are tasked with the creation of open world content, from quests and story arcs, to puzzles and dynamic content. The size and dynamic of this team will grant you considerable responsibility and autonomy in building and maintaining fun, engaging content for millions of players. You will be expected to:
- Deeply understand players' needs and motivations to inform design decisions
- Work with project leads and other designers to brainstorm, document, and communicate the content vision to the team
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to realize features that add to the explorable tapestry of an open world
- Pace the ebb and flow of moment-to-moment and minute-to-minute gameplay in adventuring space through defining quests, puzzles, dynamic content, and combat spaces
- Iterate using player and team feedback to optimize for fun, comprehension, and function
- Playtest the game regularly to iterate and improve upon existing designs
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working on world building content in games such as quests or dynamic events, focusing on fun, engaging, player-driven gameplay in an Open-World Setting
- Experience working on large multiplayer spaces that accommodate many players at once pursuing individual goals
- Ability to prototype & implement content features, with strong technical implementation skills
- Ability to work well within an international and multicultural, dynamic, cross-discipline, and iterative team environment
- Self-motivated, positive, and collaborative, with an ability to receive and provide objective, useful feedback
- Understanding of designing and modeling for game economies in a live game
Bonus Points
- Experience working on multiplayers games, MMORPGS, or Action RPGS
- Experience with social gameplay
- Experience with Unreal Engine
For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $145,000 - 220,000, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
