THE OPPORTUNITY

• Standing Stone Games is looking for a talented Concept Artist to assist with production on its two MMO franchises, Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online. This role calls for an artist who will collaborate with the art and design teams to develop the seeds of ideas and flesh out designs for character assets and creatures. The role will also ask for the creation of key art illustrations for content releases.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Create concept art for characters, cosmetics, and other visual development assets
• Create illustration-quality key art production paintings
• Ability to adhere to and work within an established art style
• Collaborate with each game's development team (Production Art, Design, Marketing, etc.)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of creating concept artwork for animation, film, and/or video games
• Ability to iterate and take an asset to a final illustrated state
• Ability to create quality human character illustrations with emphasis on faces
• A keen eye towards form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding illustration and design
• Understanding of graphic design in terms of illustration layout for title treatment positioning and alternate size requirements
• Self-motivated with great communication skills and sense of teamwork
• Online portfolio demonstrating relevant skills
• Ability to provide and receive feedback

Pluses:

• Traditional art skills, such as life drawing, illustration, sculpting, etc...
• MMO experience
• Experience working with outsourcers
