Senior Cloud Ops Developer, Discovery & Onboarding

The opportunity

The Creator Experience team is dedicated to delivering the Unity Hub, Templates and Live Platform in order to be the curtain-raiser for the Unity editor, services, and resources that help millions of 3d developers make outstanding and innovative things.

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to be our anchor for backend APIs that the Hub relies on, and help drive our expansion from desktop to cloud environments. You will bring your wealth of experience and expertise as a technical leader to foster the maturity and robustness of our software, evolve our technology vision for the future, and guide the growth path of the team. Working closely with local and distributed team members, as well as with Unity teams globally, you will help bring the Unity ecosystem closer to the editor and provide an extraordinary initial experience to the users.

What you’ll be doing

• Architect and build reliable, resilient, high scale tools and services for engineers, creators, and customers
• Collaborate closely with the Hub Engineering leadership to evolve the Unity Hub towards the cloud
• Establish best practices around CI/CD, testing, quality, and performance
• Drive the vision and tooling for cross-continent collaboration that emphasizes knowledge sharing, communication, and reusability
• Help to grow the next generation of technical leaders in Discovery & Onboarding

What we’re looking for

• Professional experience building out CI/CD pipelines, with knowledge of DevOps methodologies and processes
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Ansible, or other comparable tools and frameworks
• Strong familiarity with cloud computing concepts and the major providers
• Working with Unix and Linux based systems
• A talent for complex microservice API and software design that builds in future growth needs without sacrificing clarity or usability

You might also have

• Worked with GraphQL
• Experience with scripting languages
• Some knowledge of Go, Java, Postgres, GCP, etc
• Familiarity with Typescript, Nodejs, or Electron on the desktop
