Senior Backend Engineer

What you’ll be doing

• Focussing on DevOps across the engineering team
• Building new features and maintaining our backend services that will serve millions of players
• Ensuring a flawless integration of the platform backend into our mobile frontend
• Ensuring a reliable and scalable delivery of our backend services
• Hardening the security improving the reliability of our backend

What we're looking for

• Working knowledge of the AWS and GCP ecosystems, particularly services like Lambda, CloudFront, S3, RDS, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL
• Good command of SQL and NoSQL database solutions, particularly PostgreSQL, including query performance
• Good understanding of CI / CD tools (such as GitHub Actions) to automate deployments and testing
• Good knowledge of monitoring tools, such as Datadog
• Experience with developing backend services in NodeJS/Typescript

You might also have

• Experience with B2C backend services and related scalability & security challenges, such as DDoS attacks
• Experience with Unity Player Services, in particular Unity Cloud Build
• Experience with Looker or Google Analytics
