Senior Character Artist

Our worlds are filled with crazy, unique characters, and we need some talented artists to create them. We’re looking for an experienced artist to help establish our pipeline for characters, and create things that live in our worlds. As we build the team, this person will be expected to take on an individual contributor role as well helping more junior artists, so you should be passionate about creating as well as leading.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to model and sculpt realistic and stylized characters and creatures
- Collaborate with the Art Director and concept artists to help establish the style and quality bar for in-house character artists and outsource artists
- Build clean topology with animation and VFX in mind while working closely with the animation team
- Help mentor and teach junior artists
- Share knowledge with internal and external teams
- Research new technologies, innovations and processes for current and future projects
- Proactively resolve issues and communicate across different departments to solve problems
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ Years shipped game title experience
- Create character models in high poly, low poly and models, along with textures
- Experience making human and creature characters, as well as a strong knowledge of human anatomy
- Ability to adapt to numerous styles per art direction of the project
- Strong organic modeling skills
- Knowledge of major 3D software packages, such as Max/ Maya, Substance Painter and Zbrush/ 3DCoat
- Prior experience in Unreal Engine a strong plus
- Have a passion for art, videogames and comedy
