Senior Character Artist

Job Description

To strengthen our team in Brno, Czech Republic, we are looking for a

Character Artist

specializing on the creation of human and animal assets. As a part of a distributed team, it is necessary that the candidate is proactive and able to coordinate with other team members.

The typical duties will be:

• Creation of high-poly and low-poly assets
• Creation of UV maps and textures compatible with PBR method
• Setting up materials for a proprietary game engine
• Engaging with external production partners
• Skeleton setup, skinning and animation support

Qualifications

• Experience in game industry
• Knowledge of the workflow for game characters
• Very good knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance Painter
• Ability to create realistic 3D characters
• Understanding of human and animal anatomy
• Experience with PBR workflow
• Very good knowledge of English, both verbal and written at least on B2 level
• Self-reflection and ability to receive criticism
• Very good time management
• Independence and ability to solve issues
• Team player

What would be a plus?

• Knowledge / Experience with facial animation pipelines / production methods
• Experience with hard-surface modeling
• Experience with other tools like Marvelous Designer or Character Creator
• Art-oriented education (3d art, design, art school)
• Experience / Awareness of the Farming Simulator Modding community
