Summary

What You'll Do

As a Senior Buyer in our Indirect Team, you will source the best products and services, with the best suppliers with a focus on cost optimisation to keep Aristocrats overall operating expense in control and best-in-class contract favourability. You will support effective contracts that better benefit Aristocrat both in cost and service offerings, as well as streamlining the tools, processes and forms we utilise. You will also be part of any global indirect sourcing projects

You will do this by:

• Purchasing goods, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets within stakeholder budgets
• Research and evaluate categories of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
• Develop creative and innovative procurement processes that align most effectively to support the business as well as improve operational efficiency
• Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and payment terms with suppliers and review opportunities with current suppliers
• Assess and evaluate existing and new suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
• Manage new vendor set up and coding, and assist in on-boarding and off-boarding of vendors
• Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers and provide recommendations to the business and stakeholders
• Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers
• Maintain and contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Buyer role is essential
• Exposure to indirect sourcing would be highly advantageous
• Experience in purchasing, sourcing and contract experience
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology
• Manages change, ambiguity, complexity, and drives for optimum results
• Proactive and eager to process improve and be involved in projects
• Excellent quantitative, analytical and project management skills
• Able to communicate effectively on a global and regional basis
• Self-confident with an ability to accept and respond to challenges
