Summary

What You'll Do

Aristocrat is seeking for a Senior Business Intelligence Lead with strong analytical and programming capabilities, to develop and maintain reports and self-service BI, using tools like PowerBI, Tableau and Snowflake. The Senior Business Intelligence Lead will work with stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver on reporting/BI requirements and must have the ability to plan and execute on complex projects from concept to reality. Utilizing strong interpersonal skills, business acumen, and critical thinking, the individual will partner and consult with business and product owners to identify and understand the needs, utilize data visualization technical skills, data storytelling skills, and creativity, to provide user-friendly, easy to consume BI solutions for our stakeholders. This role will lead the development of a standardized BI infrastructure to enable business users to access the right data. The individual will also build BI platform that allows for more in-depth exploration of our already existing data assets and assess the current suite of BI tools within the department to identify opportunities for combining or organizing them differently for ease of consumption.

What We're Looking For

Job Requirements

• Lead reporting and analytics COE and build a high performance, responsive team of BI and report developers, to gather and synthesize data quickly and accurately
• Lead creation and maintenance of self-serve BI and visualization dashboards for various stakeholders, providing easy access to data and insights by leveraging BI tools like Tableau and PowerBI
• Optimize and analyze data to uncover insights and create story driven visualization that facilitates key business decisions making
• Improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, through automation or by enabling self-service BI capabilities
• Owns all report related activities including user requests, report specification, development, modification, testing and on-going production support
• Leads the data analysis to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies
• Identifies data sources, required data elements, and data validation standards
• Leads the analysis and evaluation of end users reporting needs and translates business requirements into detailed technical design and programming specifications
• Collaborates with data engineering team to design business intelligence solutions and facilitates data gathering, storage, and retrieval
• Effectively communicate and interact with business and technical personnel in solving complex data related business problems in collaboration with other members of the Enterprise Data & Insights team.
• Be a technical leader, mentor, collaborator, and champion of best practices in supporting and maintaining reporting tools and platform
• Conducts internal process reviews to ensure standards are maintained

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Tableau and MS Power BI dashboards, visualizations, and analytics
• 5+ years of experience in data warehousing projects, developing complex BI solutions
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy with experience compiling and summarizing information in a way that tells a story which can be shared with senior leaders within the organization
• Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
• Ability to interview business owners to define the need/problem/desire of a request and understand how best to fill the request to drive value
• High collaboration and consensus building skills by assuring that reports align with stated operational goals and/or strategy initiatives
• Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information
• Must possess a highly proficient understanding of relational databases (SQL Server preferred), database structures (complex views), and stored procedures
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, especially around data acquisition, transforming data into information, and delivering information effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to all levels within the organization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
• BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
• Experience on Snowflake is nice to have
• Experience with Machine Learning and AI is nice to have
