Our Game Growth organization will unlock the power of Amazon to create extraordinary growth opportunities for game creators by creating a full suite of services including performance advertising, re-imagined Amazon Detail pages, and a seamless purchase and digital fulfillment experience for players across all platforms. The mission of the Game Growth Intelligence team is to transform data into intelligence, delivering actionable insights at scale for game developers and game-playing customers. We are a full-stack analytics, data science, and engineering team building information products and applications to fuel data-driven decisions and enhance the customer experience through fraud prevention, personalization, and experimentation systems.
We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to take on end-to-end ownership in delivering large scale solutions in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. On our Business Intelligence team, you'll have an enormous opportunity to help shape business decisions as a trusted advisor to partner teams as well as senior Leadership. You will be a self-starter, comfortable with identifying KPIs in new business spaces, and able to communicate end-to-end customer and developer experience metrics as actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
· Partner with engineering, product, business, and finance teams to create key performance indicators and new methodologies for measurement
· Develop best-in-class performance reports and automate standardized reporting for regular metrics; identify areas of opportunity to automate, scale ad-hoc analyses; and build and inform BI tool improvements
· Translate data into actionable insights for stakeholders both in and out of the team, create analytical insights to discover key priorities for Game Growth
· Proactively make and justify recommendations based on advanced statistical techniques, deep familiarity with customer or developer experiences, and cross-referencing multiple data sources and comparing against the wider industry
· Provide requirements for telemetry and data structure to improve ability to extract data efficiently and provide the team insights faster
· Earn customer trust by maintaining and adhering to Information Product quality standards and best practices

Basic Qualifications

· 5+ years of professional relevant experience working with data and applied analytics
· 3+ years of experience with at least one data visualization product, e.g., Tableau (preferred), Looker, Amazon QuickSight, etc.
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a similar field or equivalent industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

· Master’s degree, MBA or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
· 7+ years of experience as a Business/Financial Analyst, BI Engineer or Systems Analyst preferably in an internet-based company with large, complex data sources
· Experience analyzing large-scale, complex, unstructured datasets using SQL and/or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, etc.
· Experience with analytical techniques such as regression analysis, predictive modeling, segmentation, forecasting, hypothesis testing, multi-variant testing
· Experience directly architecting database structures and implementing data hooks into backend software
· Track record of strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
· Experience developing insights across various areas of customer-related data: financial, product, and marketing
· Proven problem solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment
· Strong operational business understanding, including potential impact of business decisions on various internal/external stakeholders
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses, actionable insights, and effective tools
· Stakeholder management skills and ability to prioritize time to work on strategic projects despite competing demands
· Experience using data to build business cases, back up assumptions, develop hypotheses, and complete root cause analyses
· Experience designing and working with engineers to build analytics reporting services for production environments
