Blizzard’s Quality Assurance Business Operations Team is looking for a collaborative, driven, problem solver to provide support to our evolving organization, who has experience in driving process and tooling around business intelligence and insights to solve organizational challenges. In this role, you will develop deep expertise on the Quality Assurance processes and work with business and technology owners, finance, and HR partners to help drive excellence through better utilization and analysis of our operational data and key metrics. You will participate in cross-functional teams through the process and drive department-wide projects and initiatives.
Things will you do
- Data Management and Reporting - Work closely with peers and stakeholders to access, pull, clean, analyze and report data from a variety of HR, Finance, and other data sources. Creatively utilize new and existing data to help solve our most pressing organizational challenges and propose solutions in a compelling way. Research across the company to identify new systems and processes for using our data.
- Insights – After gaining intimate knowledge of the organization, use existing metrics and KPIs to identify and report on trends and other insights that keep the organization on track toward meeting its strategic objectives. Use your expertise to optimize our existing processes and synthesize new ways of reporting insights. Identify the appropriate avenue to visualize data to tell compelling stories (dashboards, presentations, reports, etc).
- Tooling and Solutions – Utilize and build the correct tools to make the business operations team the most effective and efficient in providing valuable insights to our directors and stakeholders. Orchestrate consolidation of redundancy across existing tools and systems. Empower stakeholders to get the information they need as readily as possible, with the least amount of friction.
- Financial Tracking & Analysis – Form a deep understanding of our financial processes and support the organization in budgeting, analysis and auditing against our annual operating plan.
- Communication – Proactively own communications to project members, stakeholders, and the Business Operations head on progress, issues, and risks utilizing existing and new reporting mechanisms for regular status updates pertaining to all areas within the scope of assigned projects.

What we are looking for
- Proven analytical and quantitative ability and a passion for enabling customers to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses.
- Experience running successful cross-functional projects with competing objectives and multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills that allow you to effectively influence internal and external audiences, and cross organizational boundaries.
- Expertise in gathering and linking disparate sources of data to tell business stories.
- An inquisitive technical and business mind to understand, test, or challenge the status quo while working harmoniously with the business and technology owners.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and measure success in your work or a project.
Required Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel skills, VBA proficiency
- Expert with business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Applied knowledge of web applications development software
- Advanced in SQL, data modeling, data mining (ETL, data warehousing) and using databases in a business environment with disparate data sets to solve business problems
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Math, Statistics or related discipline
- 5+ years of data analytics experience
- 3+ years working with financials and/or managing budgets
- Experience building workflows and tooling to automate collection, tracking, and reporting of data
- Experience preparing presentations for senior leadership
Pluses
- Experience using JIRA for day-to-day tasking
- Six Sigma Certification
- Consulting experience
- Passion for gaming and knowledge of Blizzard products
