THE OPPORTUNITY: Business Development & Partnerships
We are looking for qualified staff in Business Development & Partnerships. We are looking for multiple roles across various level of seniority. As a member of the Business Development & Partnership team, you will work closely with our Chief Strategy Officer and Corporate Development in Korea
You will have an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on the strategy to broaden NCSOFT’s strategic priorities in gaming, deep tech and transmedia sector. Your responsibilities will include driving the necessary business insights, establishing meaningful strategic and technical relationships, and help vet and close strategic partnership and/or M&A opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Source, evaluate and run strategic partnership and/or M&A related deals
- Build and maintain a network of industry relationships
- Evaluate partnership opportunities, performing a range of qualitative and quantitative analyses including financial modeling and valuation
- Understand corporate priorities and liaise with corporate development and R&D
- Work with key internal stakeholders to executing the strategic business development plan
- Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management teams regarding progress and roadblocks to achieving NCSOFT’s goals across gaming, transmedia and deep tech
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Passion for games, media and technology
- 3+ years of work experience in game/IP publishing, corporate development roles across game, media and/or technology sector
- Combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the responsibilities described above
- Understanding of recent tech trends in entertainment and content industries
- Analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills with a strong work ethic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a concise and digestible way.
- Ability to work independently, but also as a team player
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- 5+ years in game publishing, business development and/or corporate development
- Tangible and successful experience in open innovation or developing strategic partnerships
- Tangible M&A and deal closing experience
