Who We Are:

This role is part of the NBA Growth Strategy team which is responsible for expediting the growth of NBA 2K by exploring new opportunities and expanding our global reach. We partner with stakeholders across the organization and influence key decision makers through data and thoughtful analysis.
What We Need:
We are looking for a strategic thinker who can not only build complex financial models but can communicate findings clearly and effectively to a broad range of audience. On any given day, you may be drafting a business case for new opportunities, building a complex financial model with dozens of scenarios, formulating key insights from Tableau / SQL, or presenting key findings to the executive team at 2K or Take Two.
This is a rare opportunity to join a company that has and will continue to lead the industry through innovation. You will help define the strategic direction of one of the biggest and most respected game franchises in the world, NBA 2K.
What You Will Do:
The Sr. Business Analyst will lead the development of financial models that will help shape the strategic direction of NBA 2K. The successful candidate must be highly analytical and detail oriented, demonstrate expertise in developing complex financial models, and provide succinct and compelling analysis to inform a wide range of business decisions.
Responsibilities include:
- Build dynamic, scalable financial models to identify and quantify key risks and opportunities
- Draft compelling business cases with thoughtful consideration of both the growth and the profitability of our business
- Prepare and verify data for inclusion in reports, presentations, financial models, or business cases
- Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams / leaders and solicitate feedback from a broad audience (e.g. Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Partnerships)
- Build out work processes and establish best practices for the wider organization to replicate
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
- 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas: management consulting, investment banking, strategic planning, corporate strategy, business development
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience with the ability to build dynamic / scalable models that can be easily understood by leadership and be adjusted on the fly
- Extremely high level of detail with a personal interest / passion for perfecting the overall “look and feel” of a financial model or a business case deck; willingness to work in the weeds but never lose sight of the forest
- Desire to run and own projects end-to-end: from conception of a new opportunity, pulling data to support a hypothesis, building a financial model, drafting a presentation, to presenting the idea to leadership and “whipping” up support
- Ability to navigate through a high level of ambiguity and deliver high quality models / business cases with limited guidance or direction
- Ability to demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity with how you work with others and in the quality and accuracy of your work
- Strong understanding of, or interest in learning, the different revenue models utilized by entertainment companies to maximize the value of their IP through the passage of time
- Possess a strong passion for the NBA and the video game industry, or have the desire to quickly learn about both
- Proficiency in SQL and Tableau, or the desire / ability to learn quickly
