Overview
Arkane Studios Austin is looking for a Senior Build Engineer to join our team in developing AAA games for PC and console game systems. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a small and focused team of developers with a proven track record of making awesome games. As a Build Engineer you will help empower our development team and assist in delivering another best-in-class player experience.
The preferred location for this role is Austin, TX. Will consider remote.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Lead Technical Engineer and work closely with other team members to design and define development infrastructure and deliver high quality tools
- Be responsible for end to end development infrastructure systems from game code changes to reporting systems
- Be responsible for client and server build and deployment systems
- Be responsible for automated testing and reporting systems
- Write clear, maintainable, portable code
- Test and refine code and systems throughout the development cycle of the project
- Accurately estimate your schedules and deliver high quality work products to that schedule
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Excellent C# and C++ language and design skills
- You are knowledgeable in multiple branched environments
- You have strong knowledge of continuous integration pipeline
- You have strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Perforce
- Good knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of web programming (ASP.net/WCF/SignalR, etc.)
- Familiar with bot driven automated systems
- Familiar with game patching systems
- Familiar with server deployment systems
- Familiar with asset dependency systems
- Familiar with basic statistics
Salary Range
Senior Build Engineer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,000 - $215,000 per year.
ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
