Senior Brand Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Brand Manager will lead the ongoing demand-generation-operation of key franchises and will work collaboratively with all departments including Production, Product Mgmt, Community, PR, Creative Services, Player Experience and development team(s) to plan and execute product marketing campaign strategies.
Responsibilities include managing the entire product lifecycle marketing and subsequent promotions mix beginning with definition of the brand, communication strategies, managing pre-launch marketing, championship of user customer acquisition and reactivation programs and activities.
This position requires previous brand and lifecycle marketing experience, preferably within the video game and/or the massively multiplayer online gaming space. Previous experience working in a US subsidiary of multinational company and passion for online games is highly desirable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consumer & Competitive Insight: Analyzing consumer trends and behavior to advise business model planning; includes conducting market research on target audiences.
- Metrics Development and Analysis: Managing development, testing, deployment and maintenance of appropriate metrics. Analyze and deliver sales traffic and conversion data resulting in appropriate adjustments to maximize results.
- Product Planning & Campaign Management: Contribute to marketing aspects of the business plan, including UA forecasting, launch timing, lifecycle planning; Also includes creation of foundational product positioning and messaging to guide the marketing of the franchise.
- Pricing and Promotion: In collaboration with Product Mgmt team, recommend optimal release dates and pricing for new content and services along with compelling messaging to the franchise audience
- Go-To-Market Execution: Coordinates with Publishing team (public relations, online community relations, web content, advertising, creative services, sales, events, channel marketing) to execute the ongoing promotional marketing plans.
- Works closely with development, community, player experience, creative services, CRM, production, product mgmt. to execute marketing programs and drive the user acquisition, retention and monetization success
- Creates and executes quantifiable UA programs that reinforces sales and player engagement activity.
- Creates marketing plans, including strategy and tactics, for product launches, early lifecycle and late lifecycle of products
- Drives direct email marketing efforts and CRM activities
- Manages other various marketing programs such as pricing incentives, referral programs, rewards programs, and game related transactions
- Manage and mentor product marketing managers and associates
- Works with online community relations to develop community contests, events and promotions
- Manages internal and external resources (including agencies, media, licensees, etc.) to implement marketing programs throughout life cycle of products.
- Manages media planning, creative execution and effectiveness tracking of game advertising
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Strong, proven communication, management and organizational skills.
- Solid, analytics-driven manager combined with sound business judgment
- Successful track record in developing, managing and delivering against business objectives.
- Experience delivering data-driven results, analysis, and application of business and technical insights.
- Creative thinker who can combine marketing ideas with detailed game knowledge.
- A dedicated team player who can motivate others around him/her
- Experience directly managing teams across disciplines (production & community resources primarily)
- Experience driving to results using influence management within organizations
- Proactive and possessing very strong work ethic
- Some travel may be required
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors Degree required. BS/MS Advertising, Marketing or related field, preferred.
- 7+ years experience required in one of the following disciplines: product management, brand management, product marketing.
- Hands-On experience in launching and managing GaaS products on multiple PC and Console platforms
