Your Mission
As a Sr. Benefits Specialist you will support employee engagement of our health and welfare programs as well as provide administrative support and expertise in a range of Benefits administrative and department operations support activities. This person should embody and display of passion for our Benefit programs, and act as a primary advocate to promote overall engagement in offerings. This position requires a high level of adaptability, emotional intelligence, and willingness to cross train to support other Benefit team members, projects, and operations.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Strong focus on supporting the global wellbeing strategy to support the physical, emotional and financial health of our covered population.
- Support the employee engagement strategies including crafting targeted communications and creative promotions of our programs that encourage covered members’ appropriate use.
- Responsible for demonstrating and presenting the value proposition of our Benefits during regular New Hire Benefit Orientation, people manager education, HR education, and other forums as needed.
- Serve as point of contact for providing documentation oversight and updates for Benefits related knowledge articles, intranet content, Slack communications, email communications, and more.
- Work as a representative for vendor network to lead all aspects of engagement related metrics in learning opportunities provided by suite of benefit vendors.
- Act as point person for Benefit programs and services related to onsite benefit vendors and local partners at the Irvine campus.
- Act as point person for administration of the Wellbeing incentive program including issue tracking.
- Act as secondary support for internal relationships with DE&I efforts.
- Ensure employee benefit programs are coordinated in compliance with policies, plan documents and state and federal regulations.
- Work cross functionally with international HR and Benefit partners to implement cohesive communications strategy globally.
- Provide issues resolution for tier 1 and 2 employee’s questions regarding benefit eligibility and enrollment, benefit questions and problem resolution.
- Act as liaison with benefit vendors for day-to-day problem-solving including claims issues
- Resolve employee eligibility changes and input in HRIS, triggering enrollment or discontinuance of benefits.
- Assist with processing Benefit Life Event transactions to ensure timely enrollment in benefits.
- Maintain and continuously update the intranet benefit articles and policies across ABK
- Consistently refer to current policies to ensure administrative practices are in aligned with ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA and other regulations.
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- Outstanding communication skills with a proven background of success in presentations, promotion and/or marketing. Experience with internal corporate intranet and communication methods in Slack is a plus.
- Displayed experience in Benefit Administration, Wellbeing programs, or other related HR functions.
- Strong dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts as it relates to health equity.
- Demonstrated ability to keep matters confidential
- Excellent time management and flexibility to prioritize
- High levels of emotional intelligence, curiosity, and willingness to work beyond core responsibilities
- High levels of passion for Activision Blizzard King products a plus
- Experience with project management a plus (i.e. methodology, systems)
- Experience and ability to lead HRIS functions as they relate to benefits
- Knowledge of laws pertaining to employee benefits (e.g. ERISA, HIPAA, IRS Section 125, FMLA/ADA, etc.)
