As a Senior Backend Engineer in the Music pod within the Creator Content group, you will be a key player in our effort to help users engage with music they love and connect artists with an audience. You will have independence and autonomy in working on architecture, implementation and delivery of a platform for the community to discover, publish and create with music.
You Are
- Experienced : 5+ Years of experience in building critically acclaimed consumer applications that impact millions of users' lives.
- Technical: Expertise in building scalable and robust backend distributed systems. You have worked with containerized backend microservices.
- Product focused: You have experience working with stakeholders to build backends to support consumer-facing products. Experience involving user-generated content is a plus.
- Passionate: You are driven to solve problems and passionate about building quality technical solutions that will last for years to come.
You Will
- Author technical specifications with other engineers and teams to refine and translate product requirements into reality.
- Develop and maintain our team’s backend services. Experience with C# is a plus.
- Work with other engineering teams and particularly with the broader Content group to build technical systems that will last for years to come.
- Mentor and pair with less senior engineers to scale your impact on Roblox.
- Adhere to and expand our vision to put the Roblox community first, get things done, and take the long view.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$218,540 — $283,780 USD
