Senior Backend Engineer

This is a US based -Remote position. No phone calls or emails from external recruiters or recruiting agencies.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build backend apps for a new mixed reality focused engine. You will be an important part of bringing AR experiences to millions. You will create APIs and Data Pipelines that are cloud native for user account management, analytics, over the air asset and configuration delivery, and more. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement scalable, highly available services
• Design and implement data pipelines for real-time and batch analytics
• Deliver unit tested code
• Manage and maintain overall cloud infrastructure
• Use tools to ensure stability and performance
• Contribute to short and medium term technical planning

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 4+ years software engineering experience
• Experience in building, maintaining, scaling high traffic services and microservices
• Experience in strongly typed languages such as Typescript, Java, Python, Go, etc.
• Experience designing SQL or NoSQL data models
• Experience in optimizing performance bottlenecks
• Experience in maintaining and provisioning Databases
• Experience in maintaining or building DevOps automation and CI/CDAWS, Google Cloud or Azure experience
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Enthusiasm for collaborating with both other engineers and other disciplines

PLUSES

• A degree in computer science, or a related field
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker containers
• Experience with Node.js and Typescript
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with or passion for AR
