We’re seeking a talented, quality oriented Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to build, improve, and maintain the vital APIs and microservices that drive our ad-network service. These products have a tremendous reach and impact within Chartboost, our partners, and game players around the world.
Impact you will make:
- Build and scale high quality APIs and microservices in Python and Go to power our ad platform
- Assist junior engineers in the development of various APIs and services
- Participate in requirements gathering and sprint planning sessions
- Conduct code reviews and define development processes in new and existing projects
Who you are:
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience working with Golang
- Knowledgeable about best practices, Restful APIs, unit-testing, and design patterns
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building scalable backend services
- Experience with Jenkins, Travis, Spinnaker or other CI/CD tools

This is a fully remote role that may be based anywhere in the United States.
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $125,000 and $226,000 per year. . For applicants based in New York City and New Jersey at the start of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $215,000 per year.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position for applicants based in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $115,000 and $215,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 13 paid holidays per calendar year, unlimited discretionary time off, and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
