Senior Backend Developer
8-Bit Bandits is an autonomous mobile game studio backed by Wildlife Studios, one of the largest mobile gaming companies in the world.
As a Senior Backend Developer at 8-Bit Bandits, you will be part of the engineering team and be responsible for the development of backend systems and user tools in close partnership with the gameplay and Wildlife teams.
You will work on a newly started game project so this is a great opportunity for you to be part of an exciting game project from an early stage.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Implement backend systems and user tools, in close partnership with the other members of the gameplay team.
- Identify needs, evaluate requirements, write specifications, and design and implement complex software solutions.
- Write well designed, efficient and well-tested code
- Improve, debug, maintain, and optimize existing backend systems.
- Offer technical solutions to improve the code quality and performance of backend systems.
- Planning and task breakdown of systems which you will be responsible for.
- Ensure quality by developing features with the right combination of unit, acceptance and end-to-end tests.
Qualifications
- Several years of professional game development experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills
- C#, Golang and/or Java programming experience
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to estimate work complexity and time
- Able to work in an iterative and agile production process
