The audio team at Frontier is on the lookout for a Senior Audio Designer. This is an opportunity to step up and take ownership, work closely with the Audio Lead and help realise and execute a cohesive vision for the project.
As a Senior Audio Designer you will have experienced at least one large project from start-to-finish. You will have worked with adjacent disciplines for achieve the direction and vision of a project and can work independently to define goals for a successful execution. We expect candidates to have ample experience as "full" sound designer on several projects or when coming from an adjacent field, to have researched games, game audio, middle-ware and best practices.
Requirements
- Apply with a gameaudio showreel as we cannot accept applications without a showreel
- Extensive experience in game audio or experience from a relevant adjacent field
- You've shipped a project of a similar size to the projects that Frontier Developments releases, preferably two
- Worked on a game using middleware, we specifically work with Wwise
- Some knowledge and experience in field recording
- Excellent sound designer and storyteller
- Experience in mentoring graduate and/or full sound designers
- Have worked closely with adjacent disciplines to achieve the audio vision
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the project lead and head of audio design
- Ownership of larger areas of the game
- Define work needed in relationship to your owned areas of the game
- Deliver assets on time and to the required quality bar as set out by audio producer and project lead
- Work closely with adjacent departments to optimize and facilitate deliverables
- Can break down complex topics into modular deliverables and take ownership of delivery
- When requested, work closely with the dialogue team, audio-producer, music designer, technical sound designers and programmers
- Represent audio in various cross department stand ups/meetings and be a champion for co-operation and inclusion of the audio team
- Mentor and feedback to junior members of the team and help with sound design and wwise implementation work

- Realistic about development - You have the capability to prioritise your work and tasks, keeping to scheduled time-frames and develop forward looking compromises
- A great personality - You are kind, friendly and considerate of others and will leave your ego at the door
