Senior Artist

GSN Games is looking for a Senior Artist to join our fabulous TriPeaks Solitaire team!

It is #1 in revenue for the mobile solitaire category, a top 50 grossing game on both iOS and Android and still growing.

What You’ll Do:

You will work with the Art Director and Creative team to help us design and build an exciting new mobile social application. You will be a key part of the art team, will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to plan and define the scope of each project. You will:

• Work with the Art and Creative leadership and game teams to create both concept & production art.
• Create content with a range of art styles for distinct aesthetics.
• Excellent ability to concept both character and environment art.
• Be a creative thinker, demonstrate flare and have the ability to problem solve.
• Storyboard animation sequences.
• Help mentor other game team artists.
• Evangelize best practice for game art, animations and integration within Unity.
• Create optimised art assets ready for integration.
• Have an excellent ability to provide clear feedback.
• Control quality and consistency throughout the product including all consumer facing art.
• Accurately estimate the cost and time necessary to deliver on target.
• Develop and enforce schedules and facilitate effective communication.
• Create and maintain accurate documentation as references for the teams.
• Monitor and report progress to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Present ideas to other members of the team.
• Solve problems across multiple platforms and pipelines.

About You:

You should have at least 3 years of experience in creating concept and game art for mobile platforms. Your portfolio must demonstrate a wide variety of visual styles, iconography, concept art, all created to an exceptionally high level. You should be aware of the most popular social games, their user journeys and have a genuine interest in playing and making industry leading social game production art. An exceptional artist willing to drive quality and innovate.

You’ll have:

• Illustration skills with a range of art styles for distinct purposes.
• Excellent ability to create concept and production art.
• Experience working in Unity.
• Proficient with industry standard programs (eg. Photoshop and related Adobe products).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Animation experience.
• Excellent understanding of composition and colour theory.
• Strong understanding of game development process and methodology.
• Able to work both independently and in and across teams.
• Professional level sense for user-interface design and a keen ability to adhere to graphic design standards.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Candidates with mobile/game experience will be highly considered.
• Experience with Maya is a plus.
• Experience in Unity VFX is a plus.
