Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

Accounting /Financial Reporting/Controlling/Coordinating:

• Be fully aware of changes to local GAAP in countries the business operates, seeking to avail of opportunities to simplify statutory and tax accounting
• Participate and fully understand budgeting in a multinational group
• Work with local Departments (Administrative, HR, IT, others) in identifying and remedying any control weaknesses so that financial reporting processes are continuously improved
• Responsible for cash flow consolidate report
• Take a part of legal process, review financial part of the agreements
• Preparing bank transfers and posting bank statements
• Keeping financial records in internal financial system (ERP)
• Inventory of FA, materials, AP and AR
• Development and maintenance of accounting policies.
• Responsible for organizing and control of Serbia business and tax reporting
• Prepares and examines monthly financial reports for completeness, accuracy and compliance as well as ad hoc reporting.
• Control and implement all of the changes in business and tax laws
• Tracks, verifies, ensures payment and reporting on a broad range of finance and accounting activities
• Support of other team members in preparing reports and financial reports
• Communication with outsourcing company (HR, Legal and accounting)

Financial Systems:

• identify opportunities to drive improvements for Serbia legal entity in NetSuite.
• Closing month procedure in NetSuite /Tagetik

Requirements

• The candidate will be a qualified as an accountant or Finance manager (University degree)
• 4-6+ of experience in a Accountant Role as Senior account or Chief accountant
• Minimum 2+ years in a multinational corporate environment in Finance /Accounting
• Significant external audit/reporting
• Strong background in Serbian Accounting, Financial Planning, Analysis and Budgeting
• Strong system skills including experience with any of the ERP system, NetSuite ,Tagetik, local Accounting tools
• Hands on skills in general accounting, account analysis and reconciliation
• Must be able to multi-task and take ownership
• Written and oral English, knowledge Serbian or Russian additional advantage.
• Preference for previous experience working for Western subsidiary
