Job Description
Within the Tax and Accounting team of the Global publishing, you will assist the Senior Financial Controller in ensuring the reliability of subsidiaries’ reporting in the Europe zone/APAC region and you will take charge of transversal matters concerning these subsidiaries.
Your missions will be more precisely the following:
1) Monitoring subsidiaries' reporting in the EMEA zone
- You ensure the quality and monitoring of reporting in the EMEA zone in conjunction with the accounting teams of these entities and in particular:
- You prepare the closing schedule for the EMEA zone in accordance with the group's schedule
- You monitor the implementation of this schedule: respect of deadlines, control of Interco reconciliation, control of deferred revenue, control of the absence of errors in HFM and resolution in coordination with the subsidiaries.
- You provide support to subsidiaries on compliance with group standards and on the use of tools
2) Application of the transfer pricing policy:
You are responsible for the application of the transfer pricing policy for subsidiaries in the EMEA zone. You control the calculation tables of the subsidiaries linked to the various flows and you ensure that they are correctly recorded.
3) Transition from Net booking / to IFRS standards:
For each closing, you ensure the monitoring and recognition of the differences between the income according to the net booking and according to the IFRS standards for the entities of the EMEA zone. You calculate and post the deferred taxes related to these differences.
4) Credit management :
- You ensure coordination between the subsidiaries, the treasury and the credit insurer, more particularly
- You check that the subsidiaries have the necessary cover, and you follow up on specific requests.
- You follow the authorizations of internal cover in case of refusal of credit insurance
- You provide the necessary figures when renewing the contract.
And any specific subject concerning subsidiaries in the EMEA zone.
Qualifications
- You have a solid experience in accounting or management control acquired partly in audit firm.
- You have a strong analytical mind, are organized and rigorous.
- You like teamwork and are collaborative.
- You have a good command of Excel and an appetence for IT tools and have already worked with an ERP. Experience with tools such as Peoplesoft and MicroStrategy will be appreciated.
- Your level of English allows you to exchange fluently in spoken and written without difficulty.
