Aristocrat is a highly successful business delivering Class III and Class II gaming machines across the United States and is the main component of the Company’s global land-based gaming business. The Senior Accountant is the driver of the Intercompany process and will be responsible for manually processing intercompany transactions and related reporting while implementing processing automations. The role will also be responsible for all financial areas related to profit eliminations, foreign exchange, and revenue. The Senior Accountant is highly collaborative and expected to work closely with the Corporate Office intercompany accountant, as well as other global business partners and the local Finance business partners to ensure the intercompany processes are running smoothly. This role is part of the Global Finance Services team whose vision is to provide superior service experiences to our customers and employees to support scalable business growth.What You'll Do
Intercompany Profit Eliminations, Fixed Assets and FX
- Coordinate with global business partners to ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting between business entities
- Work with business partners to ensure correct intercompany accounts are in balance
- Process all transactional activities related to intercompany payables and receivables
- Ensure intercompany clearing account is reviewed on a weekly cadence
- Partner with Corporate Tax team for accurate reporting of all Transfer Pricing related journal entries
- Perform analysis and financial research, providing feedback to Director
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, as appropriate
Finance Accounting and Reporting
- Meet all external reporting requirements
- Assist with external and internal audit requests, as required
- Complete all tasks within prescribed time frames
- Ensure all accounting related controls and processes are effective in both design and operation
- Perform analysis and financial research
- Work with COE Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements and implement automation within the Finance Department
- Prepare monthly revenue accounting close efforts including assurance of accurate and timely results
- Prepare journal entries, ensure adequate supporting documents are attached
- Prepare month-end revenue accruals; revenue variance analysis; month-end highlights
Blackline Account Reconciliation
- Drive accurate and timely preparation of account reconciliations, with complete understanding of all outstanding balances
People and Culture
- Create performance goals and objectives, to further develop with the accounting team
- Practice positive leadership to foster exceptional goals and team culture
Business Partnering
- Key business partner with the Corporate, Tax, Commercial Finance and AR/AP teams
- Flexibility to accommodate global time zones to support the global finance team objective
- Understanding of customer (internal and external) needs and adaptability to drive and deliver a superior service to the key stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field with equivalent experience
- Good understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end processes
- Excellent communicator who can present, write, and influence all levels of staff and management
- Team oriented with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to foster positive team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects
- Ability to meet changing demands and to adapt to frequently changing priorities
- Detail orientated and can meet tight deadlines
- Must possess a high level of personal and professional accountability and be able to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals and objectives
- Detailed understanding of the importance of robust control environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of a finance function, preferably with experience of financial and accounting close
- Proficiency in accounting and financial computer software; worked in an ERP and consolidation tool (TM1 is an advantage)
- Have identified change initiatives to deliver process improvements and efficiency
