Streamline Media Group is a global company with teams in North America, Europe, and Asia. We are looking senior accountant/controller to join our growing team to oversee all aspects of the company’s global accounting functions, including regulatory compliance with accounting standards and practices, general accounting, and operations.

The position leads the design and execution of financial reporting, revenue accounting, corporate accounting and tax functions and the related development and implementation of related systems, controls, procedures, and policies. Ensures full compliance with GAAP and other applicable international rules and laws such as IFRS. In collaboration with the CFO, focus on increasing working capital and efficiencies in cash management. The position requires excellent communication, analytical, and collaborative skills. The position is for a functional position where he/she will be required to from time to time to deal with reconciliations, posting of JEs by him/herself and not to be only an executive manager.

You will be reporting to the CFO.

Requirements

Primary position responsibilities.

• Lead the month and year-end financial close

- Create procedures to make the close and financial reporting more efficient and accurate

- Partnering with regional heads, regularly examine monthly financial statements and ensure reasonableness and determine ways to reduce costs and enhance profits

• Lead Global Financial Group

- Coordinating closely with the regional finance heads, assist in the recruitment of regional employees and development of the global financial group

• Lead key aspects of a global finance modernization project to improve efficiency andeffectiveness of all global accounting and finance functions

• Lead year-end audit activity

- Manage external auditor relationships to facilitate completion of the audit procedures in a timely efficient manner

• Compliance Oversight

- Implement and research new accounting standards and pronouncements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS

- Review and ensure timely and accurate filing of all US Federal and state corporation income tax returns, and working with regional teams, filing of local tax reporting

- Work closely with management teams to set standards and drive compliance across the entire organization

• Treasury Operations Oversight

- Oversee cash management activities

- Review cash flow forecasts to ensure company is properly funded.

- Work with local financial heads on FX strategies

• Risk Management Oversight

- In collaboration with the legal department, oversee all insurance programs includingannual renewals of policies to provide the optimal coverage at the lowest possible cost.

- Document and analyze all potential risks and associated financial impacts

• Assist CFO and other executive management with important financial decision making

Education and experience

- 10+ years relevant global experience in a related field with supervisory background

- Experience in global professional service industry

- Work with complex global ERP systems

- Experience in driving transformation and efficiencies in controls and accounting systems

- Maintains an in-depth, and up to date knowledge and understanding of both US and international accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS)

- Experience with implementing and upgrading systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics

- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

- Possession of technological, analytical, organizational, management, and leadership skills
