Senior 3D Environment Modeler

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior 3D Artist, who will be working within our multi-discipline art team making a wide range of 3D assets both real-time and pre-rendered. You will be working closely with our Art Directors, Producers, Artists and Outsource partners to ensure assets are of the highest quality possible and within the performance constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Producer/Art Director and the production team to develop the look for the interior and exterior environments, as well as set dressing various scenes
• Modeling, sculpting, and texturing production-ready benchmark assets with clean topology and UVs
• Building and improving the asset creation pipeline, as well as writing documentation and best practices
• Helping with solving issues and challenges in production, as well as providing creative and technical inputs
• Performing quality checks on team outputs, as well as supporting and mentoring future team members

Requirements

• A strong passion for creating stylized environments
• Proficiency in Subdivision modeling and topology. Knowledge of game-style modeling is a big plus
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in building environments and props modeling, either for VFX or games
• Solid knowledge of Autodesk Maya
• Knowledge of other modeling software such as 3ds Max or Blender is a plus
• Strong Zbrush skills - sculpting, topology, displacement baking
• Great observational skill, as well as a thorough understanding of proportion, composition, and scale
• Retopology and UV mapping expertise
• Strong management, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ample knowledge of video games and films
