We Need You
The minions of Hell are growing stronger...
If you're a highly motivated and experienced Senior level 3D Character Artist, then come work with us and help us build something extraordinary.
Our team of highly skilled developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we all share a real passion for what we do. We believe that if you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and embraces collaboration, we will be a phenomenal fit for you.
Oh, also, you really like killing demons and getting loot, right?
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is either Albany, NY, or Irvine, CA.
Stuff We will Trust you With
Be a force multiplier with your legendary creativity and cunning eye for detail. Do you geek out on technical pipelines, end to end character modeling, and texturing workflows? As part of the outsource character team you will work with concept artists, animators, designers and engineers to create characters, creatures and weapons in the Diablo universe. The ideal candidate understands that character work does not end in ZBrush, and can texture, model and optimize just as well as they can sculpt. We're looking for an extraordinarily dedicated person to come spend some quality time in Sanctuary and descend into the deep dark dungeons of Diablo with us! Your experience in handling character art will help make a lot of gorgeous content.
Your responsibilities will range from sculpting detailed high-poly models and efficient low-poly meshes in a collaborative environment to working in complex 2D and 3D pipelines for the Diablo world to make our Characters look as amazing as possible. You’ll also be working with our Outsource Supervisors to help develop standard processes and mentor others as needed.
Work alongside Leads, the Outsourcing Team and Character Artists to collaborate and share a vision of creating the next iteration of a game industry defining franchise.
Stuff You Are Familiar With
- Solid grasp of technical art production, modeling, texturing, rendering, and UV unwrapping workflows.
- Works closely with the designers, technical artists, and the production team to determine modeling needs and ensuring the character art supports gameplay and performance.
Minimum Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Character Artist in game development.
Knowledge & Skills
- Exceptional understanding of next generation asset creation pipelines and tools.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant skills.
- Only online work submissions, please. (e.g. website, blog or online album).
- Willingness to complete a test if requested to do so.
We love hearing from anyone who is enthusiastic about changing the games industry. Not sure you meet all qualifications? Let us decide!
