Senior 3D Artist

- Works with Producer and Art Director to ensure timely completion of game assets
- Maintains the look of product requirements, including quality and art style
- Responsible for coordinating and facilitating day-to-day art production processes for the project
- Creates instructions for product asset creation and training purposes
- Participates in defining tools and art production pipeline; understands advantages and limitations of technology, and develops strategies for maximizing performance
- Prepares content submission packages to be sent to clients, and ensures all content is present, organized, quality-checked and ready to be submitted to client review in-time
- Responsible for identifying and recommending areas of artistic growth of each artist of his team
- Fully aware of the client’s expectations and needs for current projects
- Communicates regularly with the Project Manager(s) and Art Director regarding status of current project milestones
- Interacts regularly with client Art Team and Project Leadership
- Investigate client art pipeline, tools, and technology, and trains team artists to use them
- Assist monitoring team health and moral, identifies potential risks, and helps to mitigate them
- Understands techniques for game optimization, and can create 3D art that is efficient on multiple platforms
- Serve as an active participant in team art discussions, critiques, and reviews
Requirements
- Five (5) plus years of experience as a professional 3D Artist in a game development company
- At least two (2) published games as an 3D Artist on PC, mobile or console platform
- At least one (1) year experience in leading a team of artists
- Proficient with the software packages and tools of the games industry; 3D Max, Maya, Houdini, Photoshop, Zbrush, etc.
- Knowledge and experience using the Unity Unreal game engines
- Expert in at least three areas of artistic production such as concept art, 2D, wireframes, textures, animation, technical art, or VFX
