Senior 3D Animator - Owlient (H/F)

Job Description
Within the studio, you will be part of a mobile AAA project, working under the direct responsibility of the 3D Lead Artist and interacting closely with the Producer and Game Designers.
In collaboration with the rest of the artistic and technical teams, with the goal of pushing the quality of the gameplay and cutscenes to the max, you will create animations based on:
- Rigged 2D or 3D game models
- Cameras and Cutscenes
- Physics and simulation
For this purpose, you will be tasked with the following:
- Conceive animation systems tailored to the game's needs by working with the team and the various other stakeholders involved in order to anticipate in-game constraints.
- Rig, skin and develop scripted animations.
- Previsualization: Rapidly establishing basic prototypes that will guide the rest of the animation team.
- Help evaluate the time needed to accomplish your tasks in collaboration with your Lead, and work within the allocated time frame for the scheduled deadlines.
- Create high-quality animations in any style required by the production: apply your knowledge of the keyframe animation principles, mocap system, rotoscoping, splitting and integrating the animations in a real-time engine, etc.
- Drive the animation pipeline and be proactive with its improvement, to adhere to the real-time technical constraints, and implementing the requested changes to support the artistic direction.
- Report any animation problems encountered to your manager and performing all other tasks that fall within the animator's scope.
- Fix animation bugs
- Document the systems established and be able to teach them to junior animators and newcomers.
- Be able to interact directly in the real-time engine of the game.
Qualifications
- Holder of a degree in 3D animation, you have some initial experience in video game production,
- In-depth knowledge of graphic tools, in particular 3dsMax and Biped
- Proficiency in Unity and Animations Trees Logic
- Excellent understanding of anatomy and movements in space
- Keen artistic sense and attention to detail
- Be able to share a vision through references
- Capacity to adapt, inquisitiveness and an open mind
- Ability to receive, request and give constructive criticism
- Video game and cinema extensive culture
